fresh fish

Our two middle boys had really fun fishing last week - and made a good catch: a quite large cod, and some smaller fish.

(should have taken a pic before I beheaded them ;)

Anyway, we had some real fish'n chips.
And there's some satisfaction in eating food, that does not come from the store.

our beautiful country

We spent last weekend at my brother's house.
(they are on holiday themselves...)
The most tragic weekend in Norways younger history.

It was surreal following the news, while sitting at such a quiet, secluded, beautiful spot.

The view from their living room.

My sister-in-law has an unpretentious, yet personal style.
I like it.

They are a very musical family, and I love how they display all the instruments in the living room.

Thanks, F and M, for letting us stay and relax for some days!

a sad day

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who is affected by the horrible things
that happened in Oslo and Utøya yesterday.

a summer party

Babyboy turned two earlier this summer.

Eventhough the temprature was still around 60 Farenheit (ca 16 Celcius), we opted for a outside party.

We had a blast, eventhough friends and family had to cramp together in the hut when it started raining,
and eventually we ended up in the livingroom :).

Suddently he's two, talks and still makes me laugh. every. single. day. A LOT.

in memory of Hagbart

Hagbart was an old sailor living down the road.
For many years he worked on  the sea.
He died some months ago.

I will remember him for all the times he raised himself in our simple church gatherings, not complaining of his poor health, but always speaking about was Jesus did for him.

And I will remember him, because one of his old sea maps is hanging in my diningroom now.

wonderfull smelling roses from the garden

PS. Sorry for beeing away for so long. Everything is well with us. It's just that summer suddently catched up on me... But we still wait for a little warmth to arrive at our northern latitude - having mostly around 14-16 Celcius ( below 60 Farenheit).
