this and that

We are making progress with getting some molding in place... entryway is nearly finished!

Warming up to a little brass...

January is often my month for organizing and cleaning out and shuffle things around...

In this spot we had two large book cases for a long time. They had to go because my husband got some speakers for Christmas... We actually do not have a TV, but we use this screen to watch family movies and some web TV.

Our little girl has been fond of drawing for years. Gradually her sketching abillities have improved. The reason for our travelling last weekend was that my husband was having several sermons at a church. So she sat beside me...

me (whispering) : Who is this?
she: Mary
me: Why is she crying?
she: Because Jesus has died.
me: But why are you drawing this tiny nativity?
she: 'cause she thinks about christmas...

Beautiful Norway

Whenever we are travelling in Norway, I am amazed by the beauty of this country.

Even on a cold day in January.

We visited the area of Ålesund.

This view is breath taking!

cleaning

I am deep cleaning today. My motivation is kept up by the knowledge that my parents in law are moving in here for the weekend while my husband and I (and our little girl) are away for a weekend trip.

 I'm feeling grateful for grandparents who like to spend time with their grand kids.

And I look forward to spending quality time with my Mr. Viking!
